Vacation

Our beautiful niece Bethany got married in June in Virginia. John helped give the bride away but standing during the ceremony and speaking for all the Myers "those who have passed away and those who were there that day" granting our blessing on their marriage.
We stayed in the most wonderful farm house with the most amazing view.

We also got to welcome Kam to the family. He's a really nice guy.

And we spent time reconnecting with family as well. John's Aunt Michelle and Uncle Ken were there from Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Elkton is home to the stunningly beautiful Skyline Drive.

At a safer viewing spot.

The White House. John's cousin Tina made the trip from Florida. She's awesome!

While we were in Washington we decided to watch the Royals as they played the Nationals. Too funny.

The return trip included a stop in Canton Ohio for the Football Hall of Fame.

Mizzou Football Camp

Jackson joined the state's best football players at a three day camp at the University of Missouri.

They had long practices three times a day. And didn't wash their clothing. Yea the smell was a little ripe.

On Friday we all watched them play under the lights.

This was taken right after John told the girls the big "M" on the field was for Myers. Lauren was buying it.

May 2010 Rewind

Jackson fishing at James A Reed Wildlife Preserve. One of my favorite places on earth.

Jackson joined the tournament roster for a more competitive team.
Memorial Day. Next to Christmas my favorite holiday.

I promised my Gerty that after she died I would continue her tradition of decorating graves. All 25 of them. All those flowers made for some beautiful wedding bouquets, and we walked around the graves humming the wedding march.

This year we had a Memorial Day Reunion with our Great Aunt Bet and Uncle Bo. Bet was my Granny's younger sister.

And we reconnected with our cousin Lisa.

And we spent time with Ruthie. Ruthie was my Gerty's next door neighbor in senior housing. She treats our kiddos as her own grandchildren. We are always blown away by her generosity, kindness and love. What an amazing lady!

April 2010 Rewind

Easter 2010.

And the bunny visited. Erin claimed the bunny talked to her. When her confused Aunt Renie asked what in the world it said she said "uh uh uh ah uh he." (breathing very heavy sounds) Ok give a gal a break it was a very hot day in a very hot suit!

Jackson and his Aunt Debbie.

Grandma and Jackson. Baseball cards rule instead of eggs.

Erin graduated from preschool.

And the Myers spend 2 games at Royals stadium watching their beloved Red Sox.
